1. 1.Pray for Niger in Africa, ruled by General Abdourahmane Tchiani in a semi-presidential republic form of government (prior to military coup in July 2023). Christians in Niger face persecution from Islamic oppression. [Open Doors World Watch List #26]
2. 2.A military junta has ruled Niger since 2023, and some basic freedoms are still elusive. Pray the military will govern fairly and offer elections soon – and that stability will return to Niger.
3. 3.In some parts of Niger, Christians live at risk from attack by Islamic militants. Pray for protection and for those displaced by the insecurity of the region.
4. 4.When a Nigerien converts from Islam to Christianity, they can face severe pressure from both family and community. Pray for these followers of Jesus to experience the Lord’s provision in all their physical and spiritual needs.
