Prayer
Father, we pray for this nation that was founded upon the freedoms that you have endured each of us. Forgive us for turning away from you and leaning on our own strength! Forgive us for making idols of our own greatness of the tower of Babel that we have built! Call the hearts of our people to return to you; to understand that you alone can provide us with peace, security, wisdom and true prosperity. Help us to not seek them in the strength of our army or in the halls of our universities are on the stability of Wall Street. Help us to turn to you and to your word. Help us to acknowledge that you alone are God and that there is nothing else that can replace you. Help us to return to you so that you will be glorified among us.
